Nuvoco Duraguard Microfiber

Description

Type: A next-generation PPC (Portland Pozzolana Cement) variant from the Duraguard brand of Nuvoco Vistas. Patent / Technology: It is fiber-reinforced; Nuvoco has secured a patent for its “fibre reinforced cement composition” under the Duraguard Microfiber name. Composition / Additives: Clinker content with ~48-52% tricalcium silicate (C3S), which helps in strength development. Low tricalcium aluminate (C3A), which helps reduce heat of hydration and improves resistance to chemical attack etc. Uses electrostatically precipitated dry fly ash to improve performance and help with sustainability. Incorporated microfibers (tiny reinforcing fibers), precisely dosed, to help reduce micro-cracks, shrinkage and improve toughness, durability etc.
